Lace Knitting Meet Up

A few weeks ago, I went to Lacis, which is one of my LYS's. It's actually much, much more than an LYS, because it is a lace and textile museum, as well as being a place where people will teach you to make bobbin lace and tat.  I became reacquainted with tatting there a couple years ago.

Anyway, I now work just a handful of blocks from Lacis.  So I could go there every day if I had a mind to do so.  I stopped in a few weeks ago and found beautiful lace weight yarn.  It made me wish I had a project for it.  Unfortunately, I don't.  I'll be knitting with the yarn I have for quite some time.

But a very kind lady told me they host a lace knitting group which happens on the first Saturday of the month.  This was great news.

So on Saturday, I braved the torrential rain and the scariness of meeting brand new people, and I went to the knitting group.  I had a great time, and saw some lovely lace.  The 2 hours went by  in a blink of an eye.

I'll certainly be back next month.
